Tasks for Volunteers: Volunteer will work in our Foundation, that is active since 1989 for cooperating especially with adult intellectually disabled people, mainly through handicrafts and art therapy. We offer different tasks for the whole team of EVS Volunteers (we apply for 8 Volunteers in this project) like below:
– everyday support in our two occupational therapy workshops in Gdańsk,
– everyday support in our daily house for people with mental disorders,
– organizational support in our office (for example: taking pictures, making presentations on PC, etc.)
– support of our project, which is called “Neighbours house” (cooperation with the local society).
Being part of these three different areas of our activities Volunteers will be involved in:
– helping us with all artistic tasks at three workshops of Foundation in Gdańsk (for example: ceramics, wood-free paper, various technic, painting workshops, theatre),
– support all instructors in their regular activities in the workshops,
– helping us to assist the disabled people during both, every day activities and sporting activities ( fitness, unihockey, etc.),
– preparing own workshops in our three places (once a week is suggested frequency),
– providing organizational support to FSI and participating in various events.
Hosting organization will support:
First of all -interesting and socially usefulactivities!
Besides:
– single and double rooms in EVS Volunteers Housewhich is located in our biggest Centre –nota bene building 1 min from the Baltic Sea,
living (400,00 PLN) + pocket money (85 EUR),
– e-ticket for the whole Gdańsk transportation each month,
– Polish lessons 1,5 h twice a week (A1 level),
– internal trainings of FSI (1week of Introductorytraining + first aid + approximatelytwo weeks of learning our artistic technics that we use in Foundation),
also on-arrival + mid-term trainingsorganized by Polish National Agency(first take place in the capital of Polandand the second in another interesting city in Poland),
– coordinator’s+ instructor’s + mentor’s support,
– educational workshops and trips offered by our instructors,
– study visits in our regional workshops(Kościerzyna, Lubieszyn, Konarzyny, Miastko, Bytów),
– study visits in GdańskNGO’sif Volunteers will be interested in such a programme,
– Cigna insurance (main responsibility of Sending Organisation),
– European Youth Card (is sent by the European Commission),
– budged for the return tripaccording to the cost calculator of Erasmus+ Programme, and… a company of both positive, nice and helpful EVS Volunteers, our participants and workers. Friendly, familyatmosphere as well.
